SiteGuru and Visby both sit under the SEO umbrella, and both ran lifetime deals on AppSumo, so they often get compared. In practice they do different jobs. SiteGuru looks at your website and tells you what to fix for Google. Visby looks at what AI assistants say about your brand and tells you how to show up more often. This comparison covers what each tool does, the current pricing (both lifetime deals are now sold out), and who should pick which.

SiteGuru vs Visby comparison at a glance

SiteGuru is an SEO audit tool from the Netherlands. It crawls your site, checks technical, on-page and content issues, and turns the results into a prioritised to-do list in plain English. It also tracks keyword rankings, links and competitors, and produces white-label reports.

Visby is an AI search visibility tool, also based in the Netherlands. It runs the prompts you choose on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Google AI Overviews, analyses each answer for mentions, position, sentiment and competitors, and generates GEO (generative engine optimisation) tasks ranked by impact.

SiteGuru features for Google SEO and reports

  • Technical SEO: indexation and crawlability, sitemaps and canonicals, page speed issues, redirects and broken links, hreflang and structured data.
  • On-page and content: titles, headings and meta descriptions, search intent match, thin, duplicate or outdated content, competitor page comparison and AI content briefs.
  • Rankings: up to 2,500 keywords per site with daily updates, search topics, low-hanging fruit and SERP competitor data.
  • Links: internal link opportunities, broken link checks, backlink monitoring and backlink opportunities.
  • Reporting: weekly audits, white-label PDF reports, exports, and integrations with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Slack, webhooks and MCP.

Visby features for AI search traffic

  • Visibility tracking: tracked prompts on three AI engines of your choice, with visibility scores, citations and trends.
  • Competitor analysis: share of voice by engine and funnel stage, and the prompts where competitors are named instead of you.
  • GEO task engine: technical, content and review tasks ranked by expected impact, such as adding FAQ schema or unblocking AI crawlers in robots.txt.
  • Content and social proof: monthly AI article generations, funnel-based content tracking and social proof tracking on Reddit, G2 and Trustpilot.
  • Traffic: GA4 connection to attribute AI-referred sessions and revenue to each engine.

SEO software pricing compared

Both tools ran lifetime deals on AppSumo (SiteGuru at $79 per code, Visby from $69). At the time of writing both deals are marked sold out, so the comparison that matters now is the subscription pricing.

SiteGuru costs $49 a month for 5 websites, $99 for 15 and $199 for 50, with 20% off annually. Every plan includes unlimited users and client seats. The 6-week free trial is unusually long, and you can keep the free features afterwards.

Visby costs $79 a month for Starter (1 domain, 15 tracked prompts, 45 AI answers analysed a month, 1 seat) and $199 a month for Growth (3 domains, 90 prompts, 270 answers, 3 seats), with Enterprise on quote. You can start a free trial of Starter.

For a single business, SiteGuru is the cheaper tool and covers more of the day-to-day SEO work. Visby’s allowances are measured in prompts and AI answers, so the useful plan for most teams is likely to be Growth.

Strengths and weaknesses

SiteGuru

Its strength is clarity. You get a to-do list rather than a wall of data, which suits small business owners, bloggers and agencies who deliver SEO without being specialists. The main limits are 5,000 pages per site (too few for large stores and publishers) and no single-site plan. It is also not a keyword research or backlink prospecting suite in the way Ahrefs or Semrush are.

Visby

Its strength is making a fuzzy area measurable and actionable. Seeing which prompts mention competitors, and getting tasks to fix that, is useful work that traditional SEO tools do not cover well. The weaknesses are small allowances on Starter, the fact that AI answers vary from run to run (so scores are a trend rather than a precise number), and that the company and the GEO field are both very young.

Alternatives to SiteGuru and Visby worth a look

If neither tool quite fits, these are the usual alternatives. Ahrefs and Semrush are full SEO platforms with site audits, rank tracking, keyword research and large backlink databases, and both have added AI visibility features, at a much higher price than SiteGuru. Screaming Frog SEO Spider is a desktop crawler for detailed technical audits of large sites. For AI visibility specifically, Profound targets larger brands, and Ahrefs Brand Radar tracks mentions in AI answers using Ahrefs’ own data.

Business fit, which should you choose?

Choose SiteGuru if you have not had a proper SEO audit recently, your Google traffic is flat, or you manage several small client sites. Fixing crawl issues, thin content and weak internal linking is still the foundation, and it also helps AI tools understand your site.

Choose Visby if you already rank reasonably in Google, your buyers are likely to ask ChatGPT or Gemini for recommendations, and you want to know whether you are being mentioned, how you compare with competitors and what to do next.

Use both if you run marketing for a brand where search is a major channel. My suggested order is SiteGuru first, then Visby once the basics are sorted, because many GEO tasks (structured data, crawler access, good content) overlap with standard SEO fixes.

Verdict

There is no overall winner, because these are tools for two different jobs. For most small business websites, I would start with SiteGuru’s free trial and work through its to-do list. Add Visby when you are ready to measure AI search visibility as a channel in its own right.
