A good fit for founders, sales reps and consultants who network often and want a cheap, private contact memory with AI search. Skip it if your team needs native CRM connectors for event lead capture.
Best for: Professionals who network often and want a personal CRM
ConnectMachine is a digital business card app with a personal CRM and an AI assistant built in. You create a card, share it by QR code, Apple Wallet or Google Wallet pass, AirDrop or a link, and the other person does not need the app. When someone hands you a paper card, you scan it and the AI pulls out the fields. After a meeting, you add a voice note or let the AI note taker record and summarize the conversation, and it is attached to the right contact. Later you can ask the AI Concierge questions such as "who did I meet at Web Summit last month?"
It is aimed at professionals who network for a living: founders, sales reps, recruiters, consultants, real estate agents and anyone who comes home from an event with a pocket of cards. The company is Connect Machine Inc., which says it is based in San Francisco. It runs on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Android and the web, with a web app launched in October 2026 according to the release notes.
It is a personal CRM rather than a sales CRM. There is no pipeline or deal tracking. The vendor says plainly that CRM sync runs through Zapier, Make, n8n or webhooks, and there is no native CRM connector.
You can keep several cards (the vendor calls them personas) for different settings, such as work, a side project, speaking or personal, each with its own fields, links and design. Paid plans add card templates, brand colors, fonts, logo and banner, a custom Apple Wallet pass and drag-and-drop layout. Recent updates added a gallery of card styles at setup, widgets with your QR code on the home screen, and an Apple Watch app that shows your QR code from your wrist. Cards and the page people see when they scan work in six languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian and Chinese.
The scanner reads paper business cards, QR codes and event badges, and can capture a LinkedIn QR code as a contact. There is also a bulk scanner in the browser for a stack of cards. Contacts can be imported from your phone, Google, CSV or vCard, and the app keeps the original scanned image on paid plans. Smart event detection groups people you met at the same place, and AI-powered enrichment fills in missing details from public sources, according to the App Store listing.
The AI Concierge searches your cards, notes and meetings in plain language, by voice or text. The AI note taker records meetings, assigns speakers and shares summaries. Follow-up reminders arrive by email or SMS, with a draft nudge two days after you meet someone, and you can add a calendar link to your card so people can book time with you.
Zapier links ConnectMachine to Salesforce, HubSpot, Notion, Google Sheets, Mailchimp and Slack, and webhooks cover Make and n8n. There is also a remote MCP server that works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients. The vendor says its MCP can write as well as read: your assistant can create, update and merge contacts and edit your cards, and it is included with your account.
ConnectMachine says it runs no ad tech, encrypts data at rest with AES-256, lets you export everything with one button, and deletes data 30 days after you delete it. The App Store listing mentions encrypted peer-to-peer messaging, GDPR compliance and EU data kept in EU datacenters. There is no public feed or follower count, and no open messaging or social exposure, which the company presents as the difference between a private network and a social platform.
Prices are in USD. A "limited offer" banner with a countdown runs across the site, and the plans are shown as discounts from higher prices. These were the prices on the pricing page when checked.
| Plan | Monthly | Billed annually | Main limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | Up to 4 cards, up to 3 paper card scans, CSV export, wallet passes |

You can cancel anytime and keep access until the plan ends. Larger teams can ask sales for custom pricing.
Independent ratings are still thin. The iOS listing showed a 5.0 rating from 8 ratings when checked, and the Google Play listing showed 10K+ downloads. The website quotes a 4.8 average and 96% five-star reviews, and the about page claims 50,000+ users and a 4.9 average, but those are the company's own figures. The testimonials it shows mostly praise accurate scanning (OCR), the iOS and Apple Wallet features, and a team that responds to requests, with one user asking for contact reminders. The release notes back up the point about pace: there were updates on October 10, 12, 16, 17 and 23, 2026 alone.
ConnectMachine is a low-cost way to replace paper business cards and remember who you met, with more AI features than you would expect at about $5 a month. The note taker, plain-language search and write-enabled MCP server are the main reasons to choose it over a plain card app. It is still young, with a small base of public reviews and CRM sync that relies on Zapier or webhooks. I would pick it if you network often and want a private contact memory on your phone. If your team needs event lead capture that flows straight into a sales CRM, a tool with native connectors may suit you better.
