What Visby is and who it is for
Visby is an AI search visibility tool. More buyers now ask an AI assistant for recommendations instead of scrolling through search results, and in a chat answer there is no position to rank in: your brand is either mentioned or it is not. Visby tracks that. It monitors how ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Google AI Overviews talk about your brand, shows which prompts surface competitors instead, and turns the gaps into tasks.
It is aimed at marketing teams, SaaS companies, ecommerce brands and agencies that already do SEO and want to measure the AI side as well. Visby says more than 2,500 teams use it and that it won 22 G2 badges in the Fall 2026 reports. AppSumo lists the company as based in Amsterdam, bootstrapped, with 1 to 10 staff, and founded less than a year ago.
Key Visby features
AI visibility tracking
You set up tracked prompts, written the way people actually ask (for example “best tents for winter camping”), and pick three AI engines from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Each time Visby runs a prompt it analyses the answer for mentions, position, sentiment and competitors, and records citations and trends over time.
Competitor analysis
Visby benchmarks share of voice by engine and by funnel stage, and lists every prompt that names a competitor instead of you. That is often the most useful view, because it tells you which topics to work on first.
GEO task engine
Visby scans your site and visibility gaps, then generates technical, content and review tasks ranked by expected impact. The examples on its site include adding FAQ schema to a pricing page, publishing a buying guide, unblocking GPTBot in robots.txt and asking customers for G2 reviews. The vendor says you can get your first GEO tasks within 30 minutes.
Content, social proof and traffic
Plans include a monthly allowance of AI article generations, funnel-based content tracking and social proof tracking across Reddit, G2 and Trustpilot. You can connect GA4 to attribute AI-referred sessions, engagement and revenue back to each engine. The dashboard also includes a report builder (beta), a shopping view and an MCP integration.
Visby pricing
Visby publishes these prices. Every plan lets you choose three AI engines, and you can start a free trial of Starter from the sign-up page. You can cancel at any time.
| Plan | Price | Domains | Tracked prompts | AI answers analysed a month | Articles a month | Seats |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $79 a month | 1 | 15 | 45 | 5 | 1 |
| Growth | $199 a month | 3 | 90 | 270 | 15 | 3 |
| Enterprise | Quote | 5+ | 250+ | 750+ | 25 | 10+ |
Enterprise adds a GEO deep-dive audit by an expert and a consultation call.
Visby lifetime deal
Visby ran a lifetime deal on AppSumo with six tiers from $69 (1 seat, 1 domain, 10 tracked prompts, 2 articles a month) up to $1,499. It was only open to brand-new Visby users, and the terms said access to future AI models might need an add-on or a discounted upgrade. At the time of writing the deal is marked sold out. It was very well rated on AppSumo (4.95 out of 5 from 168 reviews).
Limits and drawbacks
- Small allowances on Starter. 15 tracked prompts across three engines is enough for a focused brand check, not for a full category. Most teams will want Growth.
- AI answers are noisy. The same prompt can give different answers from one run to the next, so treat visibility scores as a trend over weeks rather than a precise number.
- Three engines per plan. You pick three of the four supported engines, so tracking all of them is not an option on the published plans.
- A young company in a new category. Visby is growing fast, but the tool and the whole GEO field are still changing quickly.
Visby alternatives
- Profound is an AI visibility platform aimed at larger brands and enterprises.
- Semrush now includes AI visibility tracking alongside its SEO toolkit.
- Ahrefs Brand Radar tracks brand mentions in AI answers using Ahrefs’ own data.
Verdict
Visby makes a new and slightly fuzzy area measurable: which prompts mention you, which mention competitors, and what to do about it. The GEO task list is the part I would value most, because it turns monitoring into work your team can actually ship.
With the lifetime deal sold out, I would start the free trial with a small set of high-intent prompts, watch the results for a few weeks, and only then decide between Starter and Growth.
