Best lifetime deals on productivity tools, SaaS software instead of a subscription

By Tom WattsUpdated

Productivity software is where a lifetime deal makes most sense, because you use these tools every day and the monthly cost of a subscription adds up over years. The catch is that you depend on them, so the vendor needs to be around for the long haul. These are the productivity lifetime deals I could confirm were live at the time of writing, with prices as shown on the deal pages.

Best SaaS lifetime deals for productivity right now

1. TidyCal, scheduling and bookings ($29, AppSumo)

TidyCal replaces a scheduling subscription for most solo professionals. The Individual lifetime plan is $29 and adds automatic Zoom, Meet and Teams links, an AI booking assistant, custom emails, analytics, booking limits and 10 calendar connections to the free plan’s unlimited bookings, paid bookings and group bookings. The $79 Agency plan adds round robin, collective meetings and a team page. Both keep a small TidyCal logo, and paid bookings carry a 1% platform fee unless you subscribe to Pro.

2. FuseBase, docs, tasks and client portals ($79 per code, AppSumo)

FuseBase is a team workspace with drag-and-drop pages, task lists, Kanban boards, a calendar view and file management, plus white-labelled client portals and AI agents. One code covers 1 user, 50 workspaces, 1 client portal, 5 client accounts, 50 GB of storage and 1,000 AI requests a month. Codes stack without limit. It is a lot of software for $79, but it takes time to learn.

3. Hedy AI, meeting notes and live coaching ($179, AppSumo)

Hedy listens to your meetings, suggests questions and talking points in real time, and writes summaries, detailed notes and action items afterwards. Topics link related meetings so you can ask what was agreed last time. The AppSumo Pro Plan licence is $179, against $299 for the same lifetime plan on Hedy’s site, with a 60-day refund window.

4. 1min.AI, an all-in-one AI assistant ($24.97, StackSocial)

1min.AI bundles chat with 20+ AI models, image tools, PDF tools, audio and video features into one app. The StackSocial Pro lifetime deal is $24.97 and lists 1,000,000 credits a month, with refunds within 30 days. It is a cheap way to cover everyday drafting, summarising and research.

5. Koofr, cloud storage (1 TB for $199.99, StackSocial)

Koofr is a private cloud storage service accessible through the web, mobile apps and WebDAV, and it can connect to existing Dropbox, Google Drive, Amazon and OneDrive accounts so you see all your files in one place. The 1 TB lifetime plan is $199.99 on StackSocial at the time of writing. The smaller 250 GB plan was not available to buy when I checked.

Productivity tools stack, lifetime deal vs subscription

Job Tool Lifetime price
Scheduling TidyCal Individual $29
Docs, tasks and client portal FuseBase (1 code) $79
AI assistant 1min.AI Pro $24.97

That is $132.97 once for three tools. Add Hedy AI if you spend much of the week in meetings, and Koofr if you need more cloud storage than your current plan gives you.

Productivity deals that have ended

Some popular productivity deals are no longer available. On AppSumo, VoiceDash (AI dictation), Lunacal (scheduling), Teable (AI database) and TeamPal (AI agents) are all marked sold out at the time of writing. All four are still sold on subscription by their vendors.

What to look for in a lifetime deal on productivity tools

  • Daily use. The best productivity deals are tools you will open every day. If it is a once-a-month tool, a free plan is probably enough.
  • Data portability. Check you can export your notes, files and data in a standard format if the vendor closes or you switch.
  • Apps on your devices. Make sure the tool works on the computers and phones you actually use.
  • Limits. Storage, seats, AI credits and calendar connections are where lifetime tiers are usually tighter than paid plans.
  • A vendor with a business model. All five tools above also sell subscriptions or have long-running paid plans, which is a good sign.
