Editorial policy
How SaaSPic researches, checks and corrects its reviews, comparisons and guides.
This policy explains how SaaSPic researches, checks and presents information, and how commercial interests are kept apart from what we write.
Who writes our content
Reviews, comparisons and guides are written by Tom Watts, Editor, from published sources. Each one shows who wrote it and when it was last updated.
Where our information comes from
Features, plans and prices come from the software company’s own website, pricing pages, documentation and changelog. Deal details come from the platform selling the deal. We also read what customers report, and we say so when a point comes from user reports rather than the company itself.
Testing claims
Unless a review says otherwise, it is desk research: we do not claim to have used a tool. Where we have used one ourselves, the review says so and shows when we last tested it.
Scores and verdicts
Every tool is scored against the same five questions. How we score explains them and what the scores mean.
Prices and deals
Deal prices are checked at the platform every day and the date of the last check is shown next to the price. Ended or sold-out deals are labeled as such and stay on the site for reference.
Commissions
Some links are affiliate links. Whether a tool pays us has no bearing on its score, its verdict or whether we list a deal. See our affiliate disclosure.
Corrections
If something is wrong or out of date, please tell us through our contact page and choose “A review or correction”. We check each request against the official source and update the page and its date when we make a change. Corrections never depend on payment.
